4 Ways To Enjoy Cashew Milk

Squeezed cashew milk is a great source of all of your macronutrients (carbohydrates, fats and proteins). It's also a delicious and tasty treat that can help you get through your workout or can help when you have a craving that needs to be satisfied during a Squeezed cleanse. Squeezed cashew milk is nothing like what you will find in a carton in the grocery store, both nutritionally or taste-wise.

Squeezed cashew milk comes in original (a vanilla, cinnamon flavor), coffee, strawberry and cocoa. Seasonally, the original is swapped out for a pumpkin spice flavor.

There are so many ways to enjoy Squeezed Cashew Milk that you can do it differently for several days. You could enjoy each flavor a different way to keep things "spicy."

Enjoying your Squeezed Cashew Milk

1. Slightly frozen/slushy

This is my favorite way to drink (eat) cashew milk. I freeze it right in the bottle for just an hour or so and it comes out icy. I eat it a couple of bites at a time (with a tiny spoon) when I feel like I need a little something to get me through to the next juice. When it's slightly frozen and slushy I can still take a sip of it, too.

2. Frozen

Pouring your cashew milk into a bowl or square container, you can set it in the freezer and actually scoop it with an ice cream scoop and eat it as a treat.

3. Shake

Freeze half of your cashew milk into an ice cube tray. Mix your unfrozen cashew milk with the frozen cubes into a blender and enjoy the best "milk"shake.

4. Straight out of the bottle

The way it arrives to you is perfect. Make sure to give the bottle a shake before enjoying it. I prefer to still have a sip or two as needed throughout the day and have about half of it later as an afternoon snack or treat after dinner.

Timing

A popular question about the cashew milk is when you should drink it. The best answer is "whenever you feel like you need it." There are a couple schools of thought as to when you could potentially enjoy your cashew milk and, honestly, it's all up to you.

Conversely, you could easily do a couple of these with each cashew milk and/or combine timing to best suit your needs.

1. Before Exercise

Some people prefer to get a little protein and fats before their workout and drink their cashew milk and a pre-workout.

2. During Exercise

Others prefer to sip their cashew milk during their workout. This is not my preferred way as it's hard for me to drink something so delicious when I'm exercising.

3. After Exercise

There are some that think that you should consume protein directly after exercising. Research is still mixed on this, but if you feel like this is the best time for you to enjoy it, go for it.

 4. When "hunger" strikes

Sipping the cashew milk is my most preferred method. Usually by mid-afternoon (no matter when I workout) I feel like I need a snack. Taking a couple sips of the cashew milk here or there really gets me through those tougher hours. However, this method works all day long.

 5. Afternoon snack

You might prefer to drink your cashew milk as an afternoon snack; maybe on the way home from work or when your kids have their afternoon snacks. This is similar to sipping, but you usually end up drinking half to all of the cashew milk.

 6. After dinner treat (aka dessert)

This is a great way to end the day. Sort of like a "hey, you made it, here's your 'dessert'". It's especially yummy if you do one of the above freezer/frozen methods to take it to the next level of deliciousness. No matter how you enjoy your Squeezed cashew milk, it's definitely there for you when you feel like you need an extra kick or push through the day. Combining one of the ways to enjoy it with a couple of the different times will really help you see your cleanse through.

Why does Squeezed online cashew milk have 410-469 calories a bottle versus other cashew milks. It seems wether I look at commercial cashew milks like Malk or other juice cleanses their versions have around 110 calories and often a sweetener like agave or pure cane sugar.I enjoy the taste of Squeeze online's unsweetened version much better. I have also noticed the texture is much thicker, almost like a shake. Why is yours so vastly different?

Thank you for your comment. Great questions! There are a couple reasons why Squeezed cashew milk may be higher in calories than other brands. For example, the serving size for the Squeezed cashew milk is 16oz while some other brands are 8oz. In addition, the amount of cashews used to make the cashew milk will affect the number of calories. All recipes are different and the amount of water used in each brand and the process used to make the cashew milk may vary from brand to brand. Also, Squeezed uses dates in three of their cashew milks, which can result in a thicker consistency.
